There should be a US civilian award, comparable to the military Medal of Honor, for very brave people like Peter Van Buren. When you realize that there are hundreds of thousands of people working for the government and how few people ever blow the whistle we should express our sincere gratitude in a very public way.
I agree. But the word whistleblower brings a negative perception and has no impact unless all the harm to and destruction of whblwrs is brought together along withhow they exposed corruption. A no fear award would do it because thats what you need to be a whstlblwr in this country.
I wish the RSS feed worked. :-(
Couldn't the treatment of whistleblowers be considered "tyrannical"? I believe it is tyrannical when the state wields enough power to destroy your life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. So, at what point do the people reclaim the tyrannical government? I think that answer is coming.
